The Wake Forest Pitching Lab is now offering evaluations for fastpitch softball pitchers.
For years, the lab has helped baseball athletes better understand how they move, generate power, and improve performance while reducing unnecessary stress on the body. That same detailed, athlete-focused approach is now available to fastpitch softball players. Because the underhand pitch places different demands on the body than overhand throwing, these evaluations are designed specifically for softball athletes. The process focuses on the movement patterns, physical demands, and injury considerations that are unique to fastpitch pitching. Each athlete undergoes a comprehensive evaluation that may include motion capture, high-speed video, strength testing, and feedback from our performance staff. The goal is to give athletes a clearer picture of how they move, where they may be losing efficiency, and what they can work on to continue developing. About 2 weeks after the evaluation, athletes and their families will be sent a comprehensive pitching report with feedback and practical next steps. We want every athlete to have specific, useful, and easy-to-apply feedback for training. Whether you’re a player working toward the next level, a current athlete looking for a better understanding of your mechanics, or a coach looking for more objective feedback, Wake Forest Pitching Lab’s fastpitch softball evaluations offer a new way to learn, improve, and compete with confidence.
